SUPPORT THE ESSENCE OF PARKER

PARKER FUND

Every penny that we raise goes directly to our students – in the form of small class sizes, more direct attention and academic support, and greater access to clubs, sports and activities.

Stand up for our students and help us reach our goal of $330,000!

DONATE

Our sincere gratitude to our Board of Trustees, alumni, current and graduate parents, current and former faculty and staff, students, and Friends of Parker who have already donated this fiscal year.

Thank you!

Why is fundraising necessary?

Charter public schools are often forced to divert ~15% of their operating budget to cover necessary facilities funding.

THE IMPACT: Unequal funding has meant unequal access to educational opportunities for all students.

Why People Donated:

Beyond the Six Years

“The benefits of a Parker education extend far beyond the six years a student studies there. The habits of mind that students learn during their time at Parker (intellectual curiosity, persistence, critical inquiry) prepare them for success in subsequent education, work, and life. A gift that keeps on giving!”

Crafted to the Individual

“I choose Parker- because their education is crafted to the individual and not all individuals learn the same way. It is important to me- as I can see the difference it has made for both of my children. It is essential- as it is an alternative to the traditional learning approach.”

A Proof-Point

“I believe that Parker is a proof-point for an approach to education that many think is impossible and I believe is essential!”

Academic Success

“We support Parker because of the learning model, staff support and student community engagement. These components of learning have all been essential to our daughter’s academic success. Parker is an essential option for students who need more than the traditional learning model and what typical public schools are able/willing to provide.”

How can I make my donation to Parker?

Teachers are

the Heart of Parker

Close relationships

"One of the most important aspects of teaching is knowing your students well."

-Kafi, Division 1 Wellness Teacher

"At Parker, the way school is done provides endless opportunities to get to know students well. Knowing students leads to building relationships and these connections are crucial for growth in the students as well as myself."

Connection to my teachers

"I feel a connection to my teachers that has helped me feel comfortable..."

-Wyatt, Class of 2024

"I feel a connection to my teachers that has helped me feel comfortable and confident when asking questions. I know they want me to not just succeed, but go to the highest level I can. They believe in me."

Parker's secret sauce.

"Strong relationships and connections are Parker's secret sauce..."

— Dawn, Class of '21 and '24 Parent

Feeling seen and understood gives my children the confidence to be curious, to take academic risks, and to love learning. My children trust themselves, believe in their capabilities, and they feel a sense of agency and ownership in their educational journeys."
