CONGRATULATIONS on an offer of admittance (or high waitlist position) at Parker!
We HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you to explore the options below to learn more about Parker as you contemplate attending our school:
1. CONNECT WITH A PARKER COMMUNITY MEMBER: You may find it helpful to speak with Parker parents/guardians before making your decision. We encourage you to consult this list which includes the contact information of Parker community members who have volunteered to answer any questions you may have about attending Parker. You may email or call them.
2. ATTEND A VISITING STUDENT DAY: If students would like to visit the school to experience classes, please call our main office and we will arrange a visit (978-772-3293). A visit to the school is encouraged but not required; it is often helpful for families as they make this important decision. These days are for students; see below for parent/guardian opportunities to visit the school.
Visit days are from 8:15-1:00pm. Lunch is provided. Visiting days this year are:
- Thursday, March 13
- Tuesday, March 18
- Thursday, March 20
- Tuesday, March 25 (not available for rising 9th graders)
- Thursday, March 27 (not available for rising 9th graders)
- Tuesday, April 1
- Thursday, April 3
Reservations for Visiting Days are required – contact the main office (978-772-3293).
3. ATTEND A PARENT Q&A: On each Student Visiting Day (listed above), there is also a parent/guardian Q&A. These sessions will last from 8:15-9:15am and will include current Parker parents/guardians who will answer questions and talk about their experience with Parker. The session will conclude with a school tour. While these are offered on the same day as student visiting days listed above, an adult can attend on a different day than their student if they prefer. Please call the main office (978-772-3293) to reserve a spot at one of these sessions or indicate that you will attend when you are signing up your student for a visit day.
4. EXPLORE OUR WEBSITE: Still curious about whether the Essential School philosophy as practiced at Parker is consistent with your family’s educational goals? Exploring the school’s website (www.theparkerschool.org) may provide you with some useful information. Some sections to visit include:
