ECO - Essential Community Organization
The mission of ECO is to enhance the essential school experience of the Francis W. Parker Charter School by nurturing and strengthening bonds among our school, families, and communities.
ECO was established in 2013 to serve the following purposes:
- To build community among all school constituents
- To provide parents with an avenue to pursue volunteer opportunities
- To fund-raise for the benefit of the school, its teachers and students.
Who is ECO?
Everyone! Comprised of teachers, staff, students, parents, alumni and local community members, ECO is an inclusive organization working to benefit the Parker community through ECO grants for programs at Parker, as well as unite us through community-building events.
The ECO Council is our governing body and is made up of ECO parent representatives from each advisory, as well as students, teachers, and community members across divisions The ECO executive officers are selected from the council annually.
Parker’s Essential Community Organization (ECO) is in need of new leadership and members who are ready to support a Parker education. ECO is a cross between a PTO and an Education Foundation.
