Community Connections - May 27

Community Connections Week 10

Highlights:
Lewis Sheen

This week’s Community Connection is brought to you by Lewis Sheen—a Parker alumni of the Class of 2011. Many Parker graduates take different paths to find success and meaningful fulfillment in their lives.  Lewis's story is unique- and in this piece he very eloquently details the journey that has brought him to his current situation.  When people ask how he is doing, Lewis says that he HONESTLY replies, "I am living the dream."

So, I graduated from Parker in 2011. I remember talking to my mom about college before I even graduated, and we both agreed that it probably wasn’t the best option for me. I decided to just start working instead. From there I bounced around odd jobs. I worked in restaurants, grocery stores, more restaurants, I worked a job cutting rocks for like 3 days, then I ended up at Dunkin’ Donuts. One night after I got home from work, my best friend James Dobson, who also was a part of the 2011 class, called and asked me if I wanted to try to sell motorcycles. He had a salesman that had just quit, and he wanted to give me a shot and see how I was at selling… This is where the story really starts. (click here for full story)

Senior Exhibitions

Senior Project Exhibitions continue this week!  The list of seniors exhibiting today is published below.  If the Exhibition is open to the whole community, you will see a shared link—please feel free to join as an audience member for those!  [Please note that these links will be in the EMAIL you receive, but will NOT be posted on the website, as we don’t want to make the links overly public and thus open ourselves up to “Zoombombing.”]

Congratulations to today’s Exhibiting Seniors!
