Dear Parker students, families and staff,
Thank you to the entire Parker faculty for sharing your time, expertise and passion with our students. We are nearing the end of Teacher Appreciation Week. We have been treated to gifts and goodies all week from parents and members of the Parker community. While we appreciate our teachers all year, we dedicate this week to pause and extend our special thanks. We are lucky to have such talented and dedicated teachers at Parker! Thank you!
This weekend, we celebrate and thank our moms. To all the moms who provide selfless love and support, in ways that only a mother can provide, thank you! We are all so focused on the needs of our children, it is important to turn our attention and affection towards our moms this weekend. Have a very Happy Mother’s Day.
Finally, congratulations to our Seniors for four great days of Senior Exhibitions. We are very proud of you! Congratulations on crossing this important, public milestone. I am sending a detailed letter to all Seniors and their families later today with details on everything that happens leading up to Graduation on Wednesday, June 7 at 6:00 pm at Parker. All are welcome.
In appreciation,
Brian

MCAS for 8th & 10th Grade Next Week
Reminder 10th Grade Math MCAS is next Tuesday and Wednesday, May 16th and May 17th, and 8th Grade Science MCAS is next Thursday and Friday, May 18th and May 19th. Please make every effort to have students in school and on time for testing days. All students should eat a good breakfast each day and get a good night’s rest the night before – those two things are the best “test-prep” we can recommend! Students who miss any testing day will make-up the test on a day following the original test date.
If you have any questions, please contact Deb Merriam ([email protected]). All tests are untimed, and most students finish by late morning. Parents/guardians and students will get grade/test specific emails with more details that will go home as each test date approaches.
Thank You!
A huge thank you to all the families who sent in items for Teacher Appreciation week! With your help we were able to let our teachers and staff know how much we appreciate them every day this week with various items including a coffee bar, nachos, chair massages, breakfast and gift cards. We appreciate your support! Parker ECO
Café Wednesday
Reminder the last Café Wednesday of the year will take place on Wednesday, May 24th, from 6:30 to 8pm. Join us for a night of joy, performances, and Rubik's Cubes! A concession stand will sell snacks and drinks to fundraise for the school beautification youth venture community block. You can sign up to perform at Café Wednesday by scanning the QR code on the posters around the school and filling out the form. We asked a predictive AI generator to come to Café Wednesday and it said “sure, I’d love to! Talent shows are fun to watch!" So definitely be there! Send an email or teams chat to [email protected] or [email protected] with any questions! We can't wait to see you there!!
Division 2 Canobie Lake End of Year Trip
On Wednesday, June 14th, Division 2 advisories will be going on our end of year trip to Canobie Lake Park. We are very excited to be returning to this Division 2 tradition. We will leave Parker at 8:45 AM and return for pickup at 3 PM, extending our day beyond the regular Wednesday schedule to allow for a full day at the park. Students will have the option of a school-provided lunch but are welcome to bring their own. The trip cost is $45 and can be paid by a check made out to the Parker School or online using Unipay. Please do not allow money to be an issue for any student to participate. There is full and partial scholarship money available. You may apply confidentially by contacting Michelle McKenna at [email protected]. If you have a student in Division 2, use this link to complete the permission form by June 7.
Yearbooks
Yearbooks will be distributed to seniors at breakfast on graduation morning and to everyone else on the last day of school. If you haven’t purchased one yet, you can do so at this link. Yearbook ($60 – Buy Now) is the hard cover book. Lower on the page are the soft cover book (Exclusive Offer - $40 - Customize) and the Division 1 book (Exclusive Offer - $20 - Customize).

Health Advisory Council
You’re invited to join the Health Advisory Council (HAC) on Tuesday, May 16th, at 3:30 PM in Room 3A in the library. The team includes Parker faculty, parents, and students who will examine health, safety, and environmental issues within the Parker community. Please contact Nurse Lisa at [email protected] if interested in attending.
Dental Appointments
Reminder the dentist is returning to Parker on Tuesday, May 30th. Students have an opportunity to receive either initial or follow-up (6 month) dental care here at Parker School through the Caring for Kids program. All dental personnel will be vaccinated and screened prior to working on students. Please read about Caring for Kids and complete the documents by clicking HERE and return to Nurse Lisa as soon as possible. The dental program provides a dental examination, X-rays, fluoride treatment, sealants, dental education, teeth cleaning, silver diamine fluoride (as needed), and SMART restorations. There is no direct cost to the patient. However, if the child has insurance, the insurance will be billed. If you have any questions, please email Lisa Zick at [email protected]
Tissues Needed
